Report a drop or stock observation
Choose the right store and collectibles, describe what you saw, then review and send.
Start at the right store
On a store page, tap Report a drop here. Or use + → Report a drop: it suggests the stores you’re closest to under Which store?, or Machine or store? when a vending machine is right there, so choose where you actually saw the stock. Check both the name and address, especially in malls. Device location helps support a report; it does not decide which neighboring store you meant.
For each collectible, What’s happening shows the store’s live drops of it. Pick one to add your report to that drop, or Something new to start a new one. Reporting from a drop’s page adds to that drop. On a vending machine, the form uses machine wording and reports the machine’s stock only.
If your location shows you’re standing in a different nearby store than the one you chose, and the chosen store is outside its reporting area, the form says Looks like you’re at, followed by that store. Tap Report this store instead to switch: what you’ve entered comes with you, including your photo, and each collectible joins that store’s live drop or starts a new one. On a Pokémon vending machine only Pokémon carries over. Tap Keep to leave the report where it is. The app never switches stores by itself and never stops you sending. Empty shelf checks offer the same choice as Check this store instead; on a quick stock update, Report this store instead starts a new report at the store you’re in.
Above the form, Shelves empty? sends an empty shelf check instead, and Heads up? sends a heads up when something might happen but nothing is out yet. They move below the form once you choose a collectible, and Heads up? only appears before you’ve entered anything for the report.
Describe this visit
- Select at least one collectible. The form may preselect one for you: the drop you opened, your last report at this store, or Pokémon on a Pokémon vending machine. It shows as a normal choice with the reason underneath; tap to change it.
- For each selected collectible, record only stock, products, quantities, limits, price, line count, or vendor presence you actually observed. Leave unknown fields unknown.
- Optionally add a verification photo and choose whether to report anonymously (your choice is remembered for your next report, quick stock updates included). Taking the photo doesn’t send anything: after it, the form reminds you to tap Send, and the photo goes out with your report. Tap Send within a minute of taking it; after that the photo keeps sending in the background, even if your signal drops.
- Review the destination and every selected collectible. The form shows whether you are sending an in-store report or a tip; then send.
Fill it in faster
The form goes in the order you see things: collectibles, what’s happening, stock, line, purchase limit, items, vendor, photo, notes, then Report anonymously and Send. Once you answer a section it folds to one line; tap Change to open it again. Nothing folds that you haven’t answered.
Add products without typing. Same as last time here adds the items from your last report of this collectible at this store, At this drop now lists what’s already on the drop you’re joining, and You reported recently lists items from your own reports, this store first. One tap adds an item at Some; use its − and + to change it between Sold out, A few, Some and Lots. These suggestions only come from your own reports. Remove anything you don’t see now. Something not in the catalog? Search for it in the item picker and tap Add with what you typed. On Android you can also tap Add price on a product; prices are optional.
When you add to a drop that already has details, Start from what’s showing copies its stock, line and purchase limit into the form. Each copied answer is marked From the drop until you change it, and Clear removes the ones you haven’t touched. Check each one against what you see: nothing is sent until you tap Send.
Purchase limit per person has chips: No limit, 1, 2, 3+ or Other. Only Other asks you to describe it; a plain number there is used as the limit.
Above Send, one line sums up what you’re about to send, such as Pokémon restock · running low · 1–10 in line · limit 2. If something is still needed, it shows only what’s missing.
Closing before you send
If you close a report, a quick stock update or an empty shelf check after entering something, the app asks Discard this report? first, and says so when your photo hasn’t been sent yet. Choose Keep editing to go back to it, or Discard to throw it away. Nothing is shared until you tap Send.
Wait for confirmation
Sending report means delivery is in progress. Report sent or Sent as a tip confirms that your update was saved and shows the destination and How it counts. If delivery is not confirmed, retry from the same flow rather than creating duplicates. A location or connection problem should not move your report to another store.
A photo has its own result. Report saved; photo not verified means the report was received but did not gain verified-photo support. The report may still need more support before a map drop appears or an alert goes out. On iPhone, find it under Profile → My reports; on Android, use your report history in Profile.
Public notes, custom product names and written limits are checked before other people can see them. Your structured report is still submitted and assessed normally while that text is reviewed.
Can I report when I am away from the store?
Yes. When your current location is outside the selected store’s reporting area, your update is submitted as a tip with less influence on the map. The same applies when location is unavailable or too imprecise. It is still received; it is not a verified in-store observation.
A nearby report is supported by your usable location. Photo verification is an additional check: being at the store alone does not mean that a photo has been verified. After sending, read How it counts for the result of your particular update.
On Android, if the form can’t load the selected store’s location, it retries briefly and then offers Retry store details. This does not mean you’re off-site or that your phone’s location is inaccurate. Retrying keeps your chosen store, photo and everything you entered. Empty shelf checks offer the same retry.
Card shows and game store events
These use the event submission flow instead of a stock report. In app versions with Add an event, use + → Add an event or ask Help to add one. Review the event details and submit them for verification. If you do not see the event controls, update Drop Radar when the latest version is available for your phone.
