Alerts & notifications

Choose how you receive alerts

Use rules for conditions, watches for specific places or products, and your inbox for delivered updates.

Three ways to organize

Alerts has three sections. Inbox contains updates sent to your account; opening Alerts marks them read and clears them from your phone’s notifications. Watching follows specific stores and products. Rules describe the collectible, location, timing, and confidence conditions you want. Places, the saved areas your rules use, is under Rules → Set up.

Push and inbox are different

Your device needs notification permission for pushes. In-app notification switches decide which kinds of updates can buzz your phone; the inbox can still retain the corresponding updates. Turning off a phone notification is different from clearing an inbox item or deleting a rule.

While the app is open

When an alert arrives while you’re using Drop Radar, it shows as a banner at the top of the app. Tap it to open, or swipe it up to dismiss; updates for the same drop fold into one banner. It still lands quietly in your phone’s notification list. On Android, Nav’s closing-time alerts still appear as a normal notification with Remove it and Keep.

Get a useful starting point

Start with a few stores you visit or a rule for one collectible near a meaningful place. Rules offers ready-made alerts under Start with one of these (Quick add once you have some) that you add with one tap. Fine-tune based on Why did I get this alert? when an update feels too broad.

If none of your alerts or saved stores cover where you are, Alerts shows You’re not set up for alerts near you. Tap Alert me within 10 mi to add one for your collectibles around here; switch on Also tell me about heads ups if you want possible drops too. If your alerts cover the area but drop alerts are switched off, it points you to Notification settings instead. Close the card to hide it until you’re somewhere new or change your alerts.
