Customize sounds and mute individual events
Use built-in sound choices and separate volume or mute controls for app events.
Open Sounds
Go to Settings → Sounds. The In-app tab has a master switch and overall volume for interaction sounds. In the latest version, a volume change applies to the very next sound, and letting go of the slider plays a short tap at the new level. Haptics are controlled separately, so you can keep touch feedback while silencing audio.
Tune each event
Choose an event, such as taps, confirmations, reports, or Nav activity. Pick from its built-in choices, preview the sound, and adjust that event’s volume or mute it. You can keep important cues while turning off frequent ones. Custom audio-file imports are not supported.
Notification sounds are separate
Open the Notifications tab in Sounds for the notification-sound master switch and choices for Drops, Social, Account & locations, and Updates. Also review any sound selected in an alert rule. These choices do not change which rules or watches match; delivery switches stay in Settings → Notifications.
Your phone has the final say
Device volume, silent mode, Focus or Do Not Disturb, and system notification settings can silence playback. Android also lets the system own notification-channel settings. Per-event in-app volume does not replace your phone’s background-notification volume controls.
If you hear nothing
Check the master switch, the event’s mute and volume, and your device settings. Use preview to check the chosen cue. A preview can help test a sound but cannot force a background alert through system restrictions.
On Android, the latest version plays a preview you tap at your media volume, even when your phone is on vibrate. If a preview is silent, turn up your media volume.
