Adjust appearance and accessibility
Choose light or dark appearance, clearer status colors, haptics, and device accessibility settings.
Appearance
Open Settings → Appearance & sounds. App sets System, Light or Dark for the whole app; System follows your device. Map sets the map on its own: Match app, Light or Dark. The map choice changes only the map and what’s drawn on it, is saved on this phone, and is also under Map display in Map filters. Cosmetic themes can add a personal style while the basic appearance still controls light and dark presentation.
Color blind mode
Enable Color blind mode for more distinct status colors with extra symbols and labels. Read those labels together with the color; a map logo still means a location, not guaranteed stock. Your saved cosmetic choices remain selected.
Motion, text, and touch
Use your device’s text-size and reduced-motion settings. The app adapts supported screens and effects to those preferences. Haptics can be turned off independently of sounds. Device capabilities and power settings affect refresh rate; a high-refresh screen is not a guarantee that every operation always runs at its maximum rate.
Report an accessibility issue
If a label is unreadable, a button overlaps, or a screen-reader action is missing, report the screen, setting, and task you were trying to complete. A screenshot can help when it does not expose private information.
Still need a hand? Open the ? on the map for in-app help, or contact support.
