Understand store pins and drop activity

Store logos show places. Activity treatments show reports about those places.

A logo means a location

Store artwork identifies a retailer or place. It does not mean that products are available. Store names appear when there is room. Ordinary stores can remain on the map with no recent reports.

Activity comes from reports

Drop activity is separate from the store directory. A drop may be rumored, likely, confirmed, winding down, or over as observations change. These labels summarize community evidence, not a retailer’s live inventory system. Open the drop for the latest time and details.

Drops that are live right now are drawn larger and on top, with a soft pulse (a still glow when Reduce Motion is on). When you zoom out, stores without a live drop get smaller and softer so live ones stand out. Nothing is hidden by this.

A dashed amber ring is a possible drop (a heads up): a member saw a line forming or heard a vendor is expected. It doesn’t pulse, it’s drawn below live drops, and it’s never a confirmed drop. Turn them off with Heads ups in Map filters.

Read words as well as colors

Use the status label, freshness, product details, and timeline together. Color blind mode adds a more distinct palette and extra symbols. Opening-hours status describes the business’s schedule, not stock availability.

Groups are optional

Group nearby pins is off by default. When enabled, a group collects nearby store choices; its count is the number of locations, not the quantity of products or a stock score.
