Understand what is public and private

Know the difference between your public contributions and private location or account information.

Your public contributions

Your handle, profile details, posts, public binders, and identified reports can be visible to other collectors. Anonymous reports remove the public profile identity from that report. Where-to-look notes are public directions; optional restock schedule notes are private to their author.

Your location

Drop Radar uses location for features such as nearby browsing, reports, alerts, and routes. It does not offer a people-nearby map or show your live device location to other collectors. Reports and heads ups show the store, never where you were, and store issue reports aren’t public. A screenshot you choose to attach can still reveal the area displayed on your screen.

Photos are not all the same

Verification photos stay private and are deleted after seven days. While one is still sending, it waits in the app’s private storage on your phone, never in your photo library. Retrying ends after 15 minutes. If your phone is offline or has paused the app, the waiting copy is removed when the app or its background task can run again; it is also removed when you sign out or delete your account. Social posts and public binder photos are material you choose to publish. Review what is in an image before sharing it.

Help conversations

Help center conversations and optional ratings or feedback are stored to provide the feature and improve its answers. Include public business details for a location request, not passwords, payment information, or another person’s private address. Do not use the assistant for emergencies or unrelated personal matters.
