Use a receipt as verification

A readable receipt from today’s visit can support a report when it shows the store, the date and the collectibles you bought.

What to show

Capture the receipt with the in-app verification camera while you’re still at the store. Show the store name or address, the purchase date (and time if it’s readable), and the collectible lines clearly enough to read. A receipt from earlier today, within the last few hours, can support the purchase it documents. If the time is faded but today’s date is readable, it can still count.

What it does not prove

A purchase receipt does not prove how much stock remains, the size of a line, whether a vendor is there, or that something sold out. To back up a sold-out update, photograph the empty shelf instead. Only report other details if you observed them separately.

Protect personal details

Keep payment details, loyalty identifiers, and unrelated personal information out of the frame when possible without hiding the store, time, and relevant item details. Avoid glare, folds, or a distant shot that makes the small print unreadable. A receipt still needs to meet the normal capture and location requirements.

Can I photograph it after I get home?

A receipt does not waive the normal proximity check. Verification still uses a new in-app picture, a readable recent receipt, the capture countdown, and a usable location near the selected store. You can submit an off-site tip without claiming photo verification.
